The aim of the Stem Cell Biology Program is to understand how the pluripotent state is achieved and maintained in embryonic and adult stem cells. By understanding the mechanisms and pathways that drive stem-cell differentiation we will be able to address the fundamental question of how cardiovascular and hematopoietic cell fates are established.
