This recently defined project will use imaging techniques to study animal models in order to obtain a deeper understanding of the pathogenesis of aortic aneurysms in humans. The aim is to develop methods for early detection and treatment. The study will use mouse models of spontaneous and induced aneurysm and rabbit models of induced aneurysm.
