This project, financed by the European Union and headed by the Philips company, aims to develop a hybrid system of positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This system will help develop preclinical and clinical studies into cardiovascular disease and breast cancer.
To carry out this project, a consortium has been set up consisting of two companies, three academic institutions and two research institutions from five different European countries
The following departments of the CNIC will participate in both projects:
Epidemiology, Atherothrombosis and Imaging, e Translational Cardiovascular Research and New Technologies and Therapies.
