This study, scheduled to be carried out over the next two years, will examine the correlation between the degree of HIV infection, type of treatment, and the development of cardiovascular disease.
The project will involve contributions from scientists working at centers in Spain (CNIC, Hospital Carlos III, Hospital de La Princesa, Madrid) and the United States (Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai School of Medicine).
At the CNIC, the project will involve the participation of the Department of Epidemiology, Atherothrombosis and Imaging and the Translational Platform.
