AREAS IN THE COMPARATIVE MEDICINE CORE FACILITY 

• Rodent Area

The 2nd floor Comparative Medicine staff is made up of 1 area supervisor and 8 Comparative Medicine technicians.

• Aquarium

The aquarium staff has a degree-qualified technician.

• Pathology Service

The Pathology Department is managed and supervised by a Veterinary Pathologist who is a specialist in the field of animal toxicology and experimentation.

In the future, a technician specializing in histopathology will be added to the team who will, among other tasks, manage the histology laboratory and take responsibility for the development of experimental protocols related to immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and in situ hybridization, as well as a laboratory technician.

• Experimental Surgery Department

The Experimental Surgery Department is managed and supervised by a Veterinary Surgeon.

In the future, two technicians who are specialists in surgery will be added to this department in order to provide daily support on the creation and maintenance of the surgical models.
