The purpose of this Workshop is to facilitate interaction between internationally recognized basic and clinical groups that, using state of the art technologies (imaging, genetics, genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, epidemiology), study fundamental aspects of the origin and development of various cardiovascular diseases. Cardiovascular diseases such as ischemic cardiopathy and diseases associated with endothelial dysfunction (atherosclerosis and aortic stenosis) have an increasing impact on society and constitute the leading cause of mortality and physical disability in developed countries.
Cellular interactions in cardiovascular development and disease; Differentiation of cardiac tissues and CHD; Endothelial heterogeneity and signalling; Vascular patterning; Endothelial dysfunction/atherosclerosis; New methods in cardiovascular research (imaging, clonal analysis…).
