Graduate in Medicine from the University of Granada (UGR, 2012) and specialist in cardiology via MIR (Specialised Health Training -SHT- 2013/2018) at the Virgen de las Nieves University Hospital (HUVN) in Granada. During my training in clinical cardiology, I intensified my postgraduate academic education by doing a University Master in Regenerative Biomedicine (UGR, 2016), a University Expert in Statistics Applied to Health Sciences (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, 2017), and a Postgraduate in Inherited Cardiovascular Diseases (Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, 2018).

I obtained my PhD in Granada (2018), establishing a translational research network in cardiovascular genetics in collaboration between the Hospital Virgen de las Nieves and the University of Granada, introducing advanced techniques such as the use of hiPS-CM.

I have spent periods of training at Health in Code (a medical and biotechnology company, world leader in genetic interpretation) (A Coruña, February-April, 2017), at the Inherited Cardiovascular Condition Service of St George's Hospital (London) (June-August, 2017) and at the Center for Arrhythmia Research, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of Michigan (USA) (15 November 2018- 15 March 2019). During 2019 I enjoyed postdoctoral training at the National Centre for Cardiovascular Research in the area of cardiac arrhythmias under the supervision of Prof. Jalife, working with cell electrophysiology techniques, hiPSC-CM cultures and different basic cardiovascular research techniques.

Currently, I combine my clinical activity with translational research in cardiac arrhythmias in CNIC.
