Jesús graduated in Biotechnology (Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Seville) in 2016. During the last two years of the degree he studied the cytoskeleton during the execution phase of apoptosis at the Andalusian Center for Developmental Biology. In addition, he also worked with fibromyalgia patients in the biotech company Pronacera Therapeutics, SL. After that, he enrolled in the Molecular Biomedicine Master’s (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) and joined Dr. Ricote´s group thanks to the “CNIC Master Fellowship”.
He is currently working on his PhD in the role of RXR in hematopoietic cells. His aim is to decipher the role of RXRs in the hematopoietic stem cells and erythroid and myeloid compartment, including tissue resident macrophages.
