María Tiana Cerrolaza


María obtained her BSc in Biochemistry in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2009, where she also coursed a Master in Molecular and Cellular Biology in 2010. During her PhD in Luis del Peso’s lab in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid she studied the mechanisms underlying gene repression in hypoxia. She recently joined Miguel Manzanares’s lab at CNIC to study the impact of reprogramming-like processes in heart regeneration.

María also loves teaching and she actively collaborates in different teaching tasks and innovative teaching project at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
