El Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (F.S.P.) (CNIC) ha sido concebido para desarrollar una investigación de excelencia, competitiva y de relevancia internacional en relación con las enfermedades cardiovasculares. El CNIC cuenta con un centro de investigación de 24.000 m², ubicado en Madrid, con más de 6.000 m² para laboratorios dotado de una infraestructura y un equipamiento de última generación.

Funciones

La persona seleccionada realizará el trabajo de tesis doctoral en el contexto del proyecto “Understanding and inducing arterialization from sprouting endothelial tip cell,  acronym: Tip-Arteries” con expediente PID2023-148880OB-I00, concedido a Rui Benedito en la convocatoria “Proyectos de Generación del Conocimiento 2023. Ciencia Innovación y Universidades” y en concreto en el desarrollo de sus objetivos 1.1, 1.2 y 1.3

Las tareas a desempeñar incluyen:

Análisis multimodal “single cell” para el estudio genético y epigenético de células “tip” derivadas de células endoteliales, transcriptómica espacial de células “tip” que sufren arterialización y comparación de los cambios transcriptómicos, epigenéticos y de señalización ocurridos después de interferir mediante métodos genéticos y biofísicos el proceso de arterialización.

Esta actuación para la formación de personal investigador predoctoral (FPI) con ref: PREP2023-002256 está asociada al proyecto” Understanding and inducing arterialization from sprouting endothelial tip cells, acronym: Tip-Arteries” con expediente PID2023-148880OB-I00, concedido a Rui Benedito en la convocatoria “Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2023. Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades”, financiada por MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 y por el FSE+

Requerimientos imprescindibles:

1. Título de licenciatura o grado en ciencias de la vida o de la salud o áreas relacionadas
2. Título de máster en el campo de las ciencias de la vida o de la salud o áreas relacionadas en el momento de la formalización del contrato.
3. Estar admitido/a en un programa de doctorado en el momento de formalizar el contrato.
4. No haber agotado el máximo de 4 años de contrato bajo el mismo título predoctoral de acuerdo con el artículo 21 de la Ley de la Ciencia.
5. No estar ya en posesión de un título de Doctorado, por ninguna universidad española o extranjera.

Requerimientos relativos a la trayectoria académica y/o científico‐técnica del candidato/a

C1. Aportaciones científico‐técnicas. Se valorará el expediente académico y otros méritos curriculares del candidato/a (por ejemplo, premios, autor en artículos de investigación y/o revisiones en revistas científicas indexadas, comunicaciones en congresos, etc.), así como la adecuación de los mismos a las tareas a realizar en función de la formación y experiencia profesional.

C2. Movilidad e internacionalización. Se valorará la relevancia y el impacto en su trayectoria investigadora de las estancias del candidato/a en centros nacionales e internacionales y/o en el sector industrial, atendiendo al prestigio de la entidad de recepción de la estancia y a la actividad desarrollada en la misma.

Acción positiva: se estable un índice corrector de 1,5 por cada año de experiencia en la evaluación del cómputo de años en aquellos criterios donde se evalué la experiencia, en caso de que la persona acredite una discapacidad superior al 66% y de 1,2 en caso de que la persona acredite una discapacidad superior al 33%.

Ministerio de Ciencia, Innovación y Universidades”, siempre que la persona seleccionada cumpla los requisitos legales para la formalización del contrato con arreglo a derecho.

Plan de selección:

La RESOLUCIÓN DE LA SECRETARÍA DE ESTADO DE FUNCIÓN PÚBLICA POR LA QUE SE APRUEBAN LOS CRITERIOS DE ACTUACION COMUNES EN LOS PROCESOS SELECTIVOS DE LAS ENTIDADES DEL SECTOR PÚBLICO ESTATAL de 11 de abril de 2022, establece en el punto 6.1 que “Salvo que una normativa específica prevea el sistema selectivo de concurso, el sistema selectivo será el de concurso-oposición”

En el caso de CNIC la normativa específica aprobada por el patronato de la Fundación establece un sistema selectivo de concurso con fase de entrevista.

Se entrevistarán al menos a las 3 candidaturas que obtengan la mayor puntuación, siempre que superen el total de 55 puntos en la suma de los criterios evaluables (C1‐C5). Se contratará a la persona candidata con puntuación más alta, siempre que supere los 70 puntos (C1‐C6).

The Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares Carlos III (F.S.P.) (CNIC) has been conceived to develop research of excellence, competitive and of international relevance in relation to cardiovascular diseases. The CNIC has a research center of 24,000 m², located in Madrid, with more than 6,000 m² for laboratories equipped with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and equipment.

Functions

The selected candidate will undertake a PhD research project within the framework of the project “Understanding and Inducing Arterialization from Sprouting Endothelial Tip Cells, acronym: Tip-Arteries” (Grant No. PID2023-148880OB-I00)”, specifically contributing to the implementation of Objectives 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

Performing multimodal single-cell analyses to investigate the genetic and epigenetic regulation of endothelial cell-derived tip cells, conducting spatial transcriptomics analyses of tip cells undergoing arterialization and comparing the transcriptomic, epigenetic, and signaling changes that occur following genetic and biophysical perturbation of the arterialization process.

Mandatory requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or closely related disciplines.
2. A Master's degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or a closely related discipline must have been completed by the date of appointment (contract commencement).
3. Candidates must be admitted to, a doctoral (PhD) programme by the date of contract formalization.
4. Candidates must not have exceeded the maximum duration of four years of predoctoral employment contracts provided for under Article 21 of the Spanish Ley Ciencia.
5. Candidates must not be in possession of a doctoral (PhD) degree awarded by a Spanish or international university.

C2. Mobility and Internationalization. The relevance and impact of the candidate’s research stays at national and international institutions and/or within the industrial sector will be assessed. Particular consideration will be given to the prestige of the host institution and the activities carried out during the placement, as well as their contribution to the candidate’s research career development.

Recruiment Plan:

The RESOLUTION OF THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE FOR PUBLIC FUNCTION APPROVING THE COMMON ACTION CRITERIA FOR THE RECRUITMENT PROCESSES IN THE STATE PUBLIC SECTOR ENTITIES of April 11, 2022, sets forth in point 6.1 that “Unless a specific regulation establishes a merit-bases recruitment system (“concurso”), the competition (“concurso-oposición”) must be the recruitment system”.

In CNIC, the specific regulations approved by the Foundation's board of trustees establish a merit-based recruitment system (“concurso”) including a personal interview.

At least the three highest-scoring candidates will be invited for an interview, provided that they achieve a minimum total score of 55 points across the evaluable criteria (C1-C5). The candidate with the highest overall score will be offered the position, provided that they obtain a minimum total score of 70 points (C1-C6).
