In 2017 Inés obtained her degree in Biochemistry at the Universidad de Barcelona. During the last year of her degree, she studied the molecular mechanisms involved in the activation of the brown adipose tissue at Dr. Villarroya’s group (Universidad de Barcelona). Inés is currently studying the Master’s Degree in Molecular Biomedicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She joined Dr. Ricote’s group thanks to the “CNIC Master Fellowship” to do her final master’s thesis, where she investigates the function of Retinoid X Receptors (RXRs) in immune cells in the context of inflammation. Next year she plans to continue in the group as a PhD student.
