Proteomics

The CNIC Proteomics Unit offers support to researchers from the CNIC and other institutions, both public and private. The Unit´s work centres on the separation, identification, quantification and characterisation of proteins in biological systems by multidimensional liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry-based proteomics analysis.

The Unit's research support is focused on the search for appropriate experimental design, the constant improvement and optimisation of protocols, and the actualisation of equipment and expertise to offer you the optimal service. We are equipped with state-of-the art analytical instrumentation suited to handling the demanding nature of modern proteomics experiments. We have one of the most advanced proteomics platforms operated by some of the most experienced proteomics scientists. This robust analytical platform, together with our recognized experience in the field, enables us to manage large biomedical research projects that require qualitative and quantitative proteomic approaches.

Our laboratory specializes in a full range of approaches to support several proteome-related studies, from identification and quantitation of single proteins to complex sample profiling with high throughput and sensitivity in different biological systems. In addition, analyses of protein post-translational modifications, protein-protein interaction, and custom-works can be discussed.

Researchers from outside the CNIC who are interested in using the Unit's resources should contact the Unit.
